Human Anatomy


(a)    Graduates of Anatomy should be engaged in the practice of Anatomy in Medical and Allied Institutions, in the industries, education, and public service.

(b)   Graduates should contribute to the technological and economic development of Nigeria, and beyond.

(c)    Graduates should be prepared for admission to top graduate programs.

(d)   Graduates should be motivated towards and engaged in continuous professional development, through individual efforts and advanced professional education.



(a)   UTME Admission: Admission into the first year (100 Level) of the programme is either through the UTME or the Pre-degree Science programme of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. Candidates must have a minimum if five credit passes at not more than two sittings, which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. UTME Subjects: English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

(b)   Direct Entry: student may be admitted into second year (200 Level) of the programme through direct entry if:

  • They have a good National Diploma from recognized Polytechnic and College of Technology in relevant disciplines. A minimum of upper credit at National Diploma Level is required along with the SSCE/NECO requirement for UTME admission.
  • They possess ‘’A’’ Level passes or it equivalence (such as GCE Cambridge, JUPEB etc) at one sitting in at least two science subjects including Biology.
